Position: Photographer
Ensemble Types: Rise Percussion (PIW), The Forge Percussion Ensemble (PIO), Signal Percussion (PISA)
Job Summary:
Rise Performing Arts is seeking a talented and creative Photographer to capture the vibrant moments and performances of our esteemed percussion ensembles: Rise Percussion (PIW), The Forge Percussion Ensemble (PIO), and Signal Percussion (PISA). The Photographer will play a crucial role in visually documenting the ensemble's journey, showcasing their artistic excellence, and preserving unforgettable memories for performers, families, and the organization.
Responsibilities:
Performance Photography: Attend rehearsals, competitions, showcases, and other performances to capture high-quality photographs that showcase the ensemble's energy, artistry, and emotional impact.
Artistic Vision: Apply a creative eye and artistic perspective to capture compelling and unique moments that highlight the essence of the ensemble's performances.
Ensemble and Individual Portraits: Conduct photoshoots to capture ensemble portraits, individual performer portraits, and other group photographs that represent the spirit and identity of Rise Performing Arts.
Action Shots and Candid Moments: Capture dynamic action shots, candid moments, and behind-the-scenes images that convey the passion, dedication, and camaraderie within the ensemble.
Photo Editing and Retouching: Edit and retouch photographs to enhance their visual impact, ensuring consistent quality and alignment with the ensemble's artistic vision.
Digital Asset Management: Organize, store, and maintain a comprehensive and easily accessible library of photographs, allowing for efficient retrieval and future use.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the ensemble directors, administrative team, and other staff members to understand and meet the organization's photography needs and objectives.
Professionalism and Timeliness: Deliver photographs within agreed-upon timelines, maintaining a high level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in all aspects of the photography process.
Adherence to Copyright and Privacy Policies: Ensure compliance with copyright laws and respect the privacy preferences of performers, families, and stakeholders when capturing and distributing photographs.

Requirements
Proven experience and a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in event photography, performance photography, and portraiture.
Proficiency in capturing dynamic action shots, candid moments, and visually compelling compositions.
Strong understanding of lighting techniques, composition, and visual storytelling to capture the essence and emotion of performances.
Proficiency in photo editing and retouching software to enhance and refine images.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, performers, and administration.
Professionalism and reliability in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality photographs.
Familiarity with the performing arts, particularly the Marching Arts, is preferred.
Availability to attend rehearsals, performances, and events as scheduled.
