Aurora Asher

Aurora Asher is the current director of Rise percussion. This will be her second year with the organization.
As an Arizona native, Aurora spent several years teaching highschools around the Tucson metropolitan area. Not only as a cymbal instructor, but as choreographer, designer, and staff coordinator at schools such as Ironwood Ridge indoor (2019), Sahuaro indoor (2018), Salpoint Cathlotic marching band (2019), and more. For three years (2021-2024) she was as a cymbal technician for Flux indoor percussion and the University of Arizona (2022-2025).
As a performer, Aurora spent her independent years marching with Breakthrough Indoor Percussion (2018-2019) and with Covid bringing performing to a halt, she took a step back from the performing aspect and began devoting her time and effort to helping educate around the city of Tucson.
As director, her mission is “To continue to educate and enhance the membership experience at Rise. I want to give back to the activity and Colorado the way that they deserve.”
